MISSION:
1. To educate our students in a quality, professional, rigorous curriculum of CHARM, ETIQUETTE, SOCIAL GRACES, & MANNERS, STAGE and FILM ACTING.
2. To certify our students in modeling, acting, voice, and dance; upon graduation.
2. To submit our student talent for music videos, TV commercials, and feature films out of Hollywood, as well as submit our talent to agencies in Atlanta, New York, and L.A.
3. To produce our own family-oriented films in which to cast our student TALENT.
CAROLYN'S FINISHING ACADEMY'S CHARM, ETIQUETTE, AND MODELING GRADUATES are cast in major fashion shows at Dillard's Dept. Store and at annual venues such as the Southern Women's Showcase at the Memphis Agri-center!
The CHARM, ETIQUETTE, AND MODELING students receive detailed, professional instruction that equips them for success in any life career or pursuit. The training is life-impacting and leads to greater academic achievement and life-long success.
THE STAGE & FILM ACTING students receive detailed, professional instruction that equips them to be cast in T.V. commercials, music videos, stage plays, and major motion pictures.

BIO OF CAROLYN YANCY-GUNN
FOUNDER/CEO OF CAROLYN'S FINISHING ACADEMY, CHRIST FOR ALL CHURCH, & CFA PRODUCTIONS, INC.
Holding 9 hours toward a Docotrate Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, an M.A. Degree in English, Speech, and Education; and a Bachelor's Degree in English, Speech, and Spanish; Carolyn Yancy is founder and CEO of Carolyn's Finishing Academy, Christ for All Church, and CFA Productions, Inc., which include a performing arts school, production company, recording studio, a Writer's Guild of America Agency, and a booking agency of the American Federation of Musicians.
Having taught secondary school and collegiate level academics for eighteen years, Carolyn Yancy, in 1989, changed the course of her life and returned to school; this time, educating herself in the performing arts: acting, modeling, voice, and dance. Afterward, Carolyn spent four years in Dallas, Texas; performing roles in major movies and rubbing shoulders with such luminaries as Richard Gere and Michael Michelle.
As a result of the wisdom gained from these experiences, Carolyn Yancy opened Carolyn's School of Modeling, in 1991, in Dallas, Texas; specializing in charm, and modeling; and in 1999, moved the school to Memphis, Tennessee; renaming it Carolyn's Finsihing Academy.
Carolyn's Finishing Academy is a premier performing arts school, featuring instruction in charm, etiquette, social graces and manners; modeling, voice, dance, screenplay writing, and Spanish, as well as stage and film acting.
An educator in the pulbic schools for many years and a professor on the collegiate level at Tennesse State University, LeMoyne-Owen College, Paul Quinn College, and the University of Memphis, Ms. Yancy is not only an educator; but, also, a screen and stage playwright, a producer, director, and actress.
Carolyn Yancy has produced and directed a plethora of major stage productions such as, "Grease", "The Wiz", "Romeo and Juliet", "Westside Story", "A Raisin in the Sun", and many others; as well as written, produced, and directed several of her own stage plays, including "Slick", "The Temptations' Story", and "The Whiz" (yet to be produced).
Her independent film production/directing credits include: "Take Me Back to Beale" (a trilogy) and "Esther" (in which Ms. Yancy plays the lead role along with support from graduates of the Film Acting curriculum at her school,Carolyn's Finishing Academy). Ms. Yancy wrote, directed, and produced both of these films.
"Esther" premiered Sunday, May 10, 2009; 3-6pm; in Dinner Theater format, at Morgan Freeman's restaurant and nightclub, Ground Zero.
Ms. Yancy has produced and directed plays for Isaac Hayes' and for the Gibson Guitar Company.
She fulfilled a year's contract with the Gibson Guitar Company, where she produced several performances of "A Raisin in the Sun".
As an accomplished actress, Carolyn Yancy has starred in several movies, stage plays, and T.V. commercials including, "Blues in the Night", "General Hospitality", a Circuit City Commercial, a Mary Kay Info-mercial, the touring stage play, "Tell Pharoah,; her original screenplay, "Esther", and many others.
Ms. Yancy instituted and is devloping other divisions of her company: Christ for All Church (holding Bible study on Sunday mornings); a Talent Agency (representing talent all over the Midsouth), a Writer's Guild of America Literary Agency (pitching the works of writers of all genres), and an American Federation of Musicians Booking Agency (representing singers, musicians, and bands), all established to assist and encourage those seeking careers in the performing arts.
Her production of "A Raisin in the Sun" at Isaac Hayes' and at the Gibson Guitar Lounge (2006-2007) and her production of "The Temptations' Story", at the Rose Theater (2007), marked her 26th major theatrical production, in a career spanning over 20 years.
